Dogs

Monmouthshire County Council does not encourage owners to bring dogs into Bailey Park and requires that they must be kept on a lead. You must also clear up after your dog. Additionally dog owners must be aware that during the Steam Rally there are often loud noises and music, sharp bangs and crowds of people, which can distress dogs.

When does the Steam Run take place?

The Steam Run is now named the Ivor Trotman Steam Run in memory of the founder of the Abergavenny Steam Rally. The run tours around the centre of Abergavenny starting at 11.00am on Sunday 28th starting from Fairfield Car Park Exit , returning to Bailey Park approximately 1 hour later. This year we will also have a pair of Shire Horses pulling a Dray.
